@rjquillin@Winedavid59 Any hints at what could be in these? At $60+ per bottle after tax and shipping this gets spendy. I wouldn’t want Caymus or a big ol’ fruit bomb for these prices.
@klezman@rjquillin@Winedavid59 scars still exist from International Case of mystery disaster. And the “ guaranteed $50+” bottle. Wonder if that was the strange South American I deemed undrinkable and poured out. About the only time I’ve ever done that — normally I’ll drink almost anything, or use for cooking.
That was over 5 years ago! As I recall, only two of my bottles really sucked. If I wasn’t totally overflowing, I’d probably get this. Now if these were magnums…
@pmarin@rjquillin@Springbank@Winedavid59 Would y’all stop bringing that thing up? It was so long ago. My question was just about the kinds of wine in this offer because there are some Napa Cabs in my wheelhouse and some that are totally not my preference. Nothing more or less.
Not sure about this. These may 2022’s, a mediocre vintage many sites are clearing out at much more than 50% off and there is no mystery. I may be wrong and this is a good deal but doesn’t seem worth the risk.
How much more are you saving by 4 bottles?

$50 a bottle for mystery wine is a pretty ambitious ‘deal’…
The regret will probably not be instant in this case but I suspect it will be there just the same.
Well I’m a fan of Napa cabs and this seems like a fun way to try something new. In for a four pack.

DONE- I love the sound of the dice on the Craps Table…>>>“I’ll parlay my Horn bet on this offer, let’em roll” intangible-hanging-saturn
Rhymes with meming beagle. I’m in.
@FritzCat was there a hint or Easter egg implying that? Maybe my clue-hunting skills are getting rusty?

Celebrate 250 years with 250 Bottles: Mystery Napa Cabernet - $40 = 16.66%
@Mark_L Shoulda made it 17.76%.
@FritzCat That would have demonstrated some deep planning by @WineDavid59!
@FritzCat @Winedavid59 And by my calculations, a 4-bottle price of $197.36 would have hit the target. That would have been a sweet “easter egg”.
How about a $250 bottle for $50? Now that just might be a celebration…ha!
I’ve been burned on mystery purchases before, none for me…
