Our 2025 Rosé is both a blend of varieties and a blend of Rosé winemaking techniques. Carefully managed Rosé sections of our estate vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc were direct pressed and fermented together to create vibrant color, acidity, and bright fruit flavors. The growing season also provided ideal conditions for natural acidity in fully ripe fruit, and therefore the opportunity to craft a stellar saignée Rosé. We pulled juice from our red fermentations immediately after the grapes were destemmed. This technique leads to Rosé with a richer palate and deeper color. By fermenting our direct-press and saignée wines separately and blending them post-fermentation, we created the perfect balance of freshness, vivid fruit aromas, and a full palate.
Dineen Vineyards is a family-owned estate tucked into the rolling hills of Washington’s Yakima Valley (Rattlesnake Hills AVA). Founded in 2001 by Patrick and Lanie Dineen, and now led by their daughter Marissa, the vineyard began with the transformation of a small apple orchard and has since grown into 100 acres devoted to Bordeaux and Rhône varietals.

@Adamamesh@rjquillin I won’t be at my Winter destination for another few weeks, so was hoping for the hold option for that reason. The regular shipping sometimes is delayed many weeks, but other times shows up fairly quickly.
My neighbor/friend can accept for me but he balks at heavy cases of wine now.
I guess I will have to check my UPS premium status, which would give me an extra week of hold for pickup if I need.
How much more are you saving by buying a full case?

Got the Golden (Rose) Ticket while I was in Ireland, luckily, we were going to be back in time to pick it up from the UPS store where I redirected it before the offer went live. We picked it up and immediately placed it in the fridge to drink later. Unfortunately, our eating times and energy are a little all over the place with jet lag, so we ended up trying it the first night with just a bit of cheddar cheese and some mixed nuts. The bottle was a very bright orange/rose color and was a very cheery color in the glass.
On twist and pour straight out of the fridge it was a bit too cold and had very little noticeable flavors on the nose and was a little bitter and tart. Additionally, what it did have though was a very strong alcohol smell, so much that it would burn my eyes as I drank it, and my wife said the same. As it warmed up and opened, the alcohol subsided a bit, and we then got some melon and berries, and the bitterness and tartness completely subsided. It was better as it got warmer and was quite pleasant with the second small glass. It also went well with the sharp cheddar and mixed nuts; I think it would be better with food. We put the rest back in the fridge for a second day.
On day 2 we had the rest of the bottle, and the alcohol, bitterness, and tartness were all gone, and now it had an obvious strawberry taste. I thought it was too much strawberry flavor, but my wife said she liked it.
Roses are not our go to wine, and this one was not our favorite, but after it warmed up and opened, it was a pleasant wine, especially if had with a meal. The strawberry flavor made it seem sweet on the second day, but it was not sweet other than the strawberry notes making it seem sweet.

We were also delighted to receive a nice write up from Virginie Boone at Jeb Dunnuck this week…92 pts. Here’s what she said…
The 2025 Rose is 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 60% Cabernet Franc in refreshing form, from all estate-grown grapes partially saignée, partially direct-pressed. It’s aged in stainless for just three months before release, capturing all the bright acidity it has to carry through the tart cranberry, currant, and cassis at its core. Herbal side notes complete the picture. This is a lovely, medium-bodied wine. Drink now.
I just wanted to add a couple notes on our Rat report above - noted that the wine was opened very cold. It is common that drinking wine very cold can mute the aromas & flavors and sharpen acidity, etc.
Don’t panic if it’s cold out of the fridge…pour a glass and let is sit for 5 mins (while you have that piece of cheese) and you’ll get a much more interesting wine as noticed by our Rat
ps. even quicker when it’s hot summer day or if you are living in the South
@MarcieDV Speaking of heat, one thing i forgot to mention in my rat report. It was 100 degrees the day the bottle was dropped off at the UPS store. So I do wonder if the alcohol on the nose was due to some heat tainting or not.
@normanl0 wow, that’s hot! Hard to say as it’s a screw top. Corks popping are the typical sign.
Glad the alcohols subsided eventually ao perhaps just a shock to the system. 100 degrees shocks me
