Never was that excited about it. Yeah there is great lore from history, but seems essentially obsolete now. Once a company I was with did a dinner event with a “magician,” don’t know what the right term is now, and I think they just ended up with a bunch of engineers trying to debug and analyze what happened and maybe write a report by morning.
We were fortunate to have friends and business associates who were magicians and provided access to the Magic Castle in Hollywood. Among the memorable visits were a birthday party for my then-young son and a performance by a magician who was a contemporary at college.
