On the nose is a pretty bouquet of lime, lemon and floral character. Behind it are subtle tropical fruit notes combined with a nice mineral/wet rock character. The palate is light, bright and crisp with a pleasant plumpness on the attack that doesn’t overwhelm the palate but provides some weight and texture.
The Wine
Hand-harvested at peak freshness, the grapes were gently destemmed and pressed before a cool fermentation to preserve their vibrant aromatics. The wine was crafted to highlight its lively acidity and pure fruit expression, resulting in a crisp, invigorating Sauvignon Blanc with a sunny, mouthwatering finish.
The Vineyard
Roza Hills Vineyard is known for their Sauvignon Blanc. The fruit offers bright, zesty flavors and a refreshing lift, making it an ideal companion for warm days and summer fare.
Vinification:
Fruit for this wine was hand harvested on August 28th. It was picked early to preserve the fruits natural acidity. 60% of the fruit was immediately destemmed and pressed into tank. The remaining 40% was destemmed and allowed to soak on the skins for 12 hours before being pressed and blended into the tank with the rest of the juice. Once in tank, the juice was cooled to about 0°C and underwent a 3 week stabulation after which it was racked off gross lees, and warmed to initiate fermentation. It fermented dry which took about 20 days. The wine was bottled February 18th, 2026.

2025 JB Neufeld Sauvignon Blanc - $25 = 15.62%
Thank you all for taking a look at our offer and please let me know if you have any questions about the wine or about our winery! Cheers-Brooke & Justin
@rjquillin Hi! JB Neufeld is just my husband, Justin, and myself, Brooke. We make wine here in the Yakima Valley of Washington state. We are most known for our Cabernets but have really enjoyed branching out to Sauvignon Blanc recently. We make honest wines with a purity of fruit that hopefully reflect the terrior of the valley. Thank you for being here.
Club member here and always snag the sav blanc and rose offered by JB Neufeld every spring. Now I haven’t had 2025, have one on deck but Im not feeling well either. This Vintage might be sourced from a different vineyard than the past vintages, The winery can chime in on that.
Previous vintage are always Crisp, tropical, nice medium body. Not grassy or overly herbaceous. This is an easy buy at 17 club price and silly at this price. Their whole lineup punches way over the asking price. As they say,….buy with confidence here.
@JBNeufeld my 2025s are under screw cap I assume the photo shown is just a stock photo? I for one was glad to see the change.
I am in for a six pack as well I should say.
Hi! Yes, you are right this is an old photo. The 2025 is screwcap. The screwcap vs. cork is a huge debate in our house. And I won, screwcap is so nice on a summer SB! I am SO glad you agree. It is a small fight that Justin and I have every year so I will save this comment for when it gets brought up again! :)
I have not had their SB but have had all of the delicious cabs they make also was a club member for years until I aged out everything I have tasted were very well made so I suspect this will be no different.
In for a case split with a NEOh 'mate. Not had this wine from them but have had the Cecilia white blend. All the cabs are great. Echo ern1, buy with confidence. This is a steal!
The Sauv Blanc for the Cecilia is from the same vineyard as this SB. Think of this SB as its sassy fun little sister. The Cecilia is kept on the lees in concrete while this SB is racked off its lees and goes straight into bottle so that it maintains its vibrancy and freshness. The Cecilia is crafted to age and the SB is crafted to enjoy now!
@JBNeufeld@pjmartin Any thoughts on no summer shipping options here on casemates for your offer? Or are you comfortable shipping your wines in summer heat?
@kaolis@pjmartin Great question! It all depends on the heat we’re talking about and the duration of that heat. Its so hard to know what conditions the wine is in while shipping. That being said, on our reds I will not ship if daytime temps anywhere along the way look like they will get above 80 for the high. This wine is in a screwcap so it will do better, but I would still say 85 for a high is probably fine for screwcap. Realistically, the wine will probably get the warmest when its out for delivery the day of. Cork closures its a bit more of a gamble at that temp. We dont ship during the summer because night time temps dont typically cool down enough. If its only in transit for a couple of days, I wouldnt worry at 85 degrees for the high on this wine. The timing isnt great with our current weather though…:(
Hey Everyone! This is Justin with JB Neufeld. Thanks for taking a look at the offer! A little bit about the wine…2025 was an interesting vintage for the Sauv Blanc. Typically, yields per acre are north of four ton, but this vintage they were right around 2.3 ton. Smaller berries were a big part of those lower yields. A lot of the aromatic compounds of wine, Sauvignon Blanc especially, are actually derived from the skins of the berry. Smaller berries means you have more skin content and thus have the potential to extract more aromatics. I crush the fruit and macerate on the skins for a few hours with this wine so as to extract more of those aromatic compounds from the skins. I then put it thru another two weeks of stabulation to extract even more Thiols. The result is wine with a really vibrant aromatic profile. I just opened a bottle and the nose still seems a little tight and closed up. Its in screwtop, so I think in another couple of months it will really start to show its potential. Everything is there, it just needs another couple of months. Maybe I should try and make it more approachable RIGHT now, but everything comes with a price and I’d rather wait a few months to see and experience something that you wont get in a wine thats made to drink now. Cheers!

Not saying this just to be a pain in the ass, but two offers in a row I would maybe be interested in with some shipping options
@kaolis are we not doing summer express shipping in foam this year? It’s June and in the 90s this week in Missouri.
@TimW WD has said a summer shipping program is in the works, no details other than it is coming
Hoping for rats on this one as well…looks interesting and I need some sauvignon blanc.
@TimW
Please let me know if you have any questions about the SB. Its absolutely the time of year for Sauv Blanc and is my favorite.
Rats?
@losthighwayz I was going to ask the same thing?
