Winemaking
Grown in Monterey County, where fog lingers before yielding to golden sun, our grapes capture depth and richness. Cold-soaked to enhance color and flavor, then fermented in open-top tanks, they remain on the skins for two weeks before pressing. It reflects a moment of Time & Tide, patience and craft. A snapshot of the coast, bottled for you to enjoy.

Scheid Family Wines now presides over thousands of acres of estate vineyards in the Salinas Valley in the Monterey AVA, a region with abundant natural resources for growing diverse, high-quality grapes. With our focus on sustainable viticulture practices, we intend to keep it that way.
From our best-selling Global Brands to a broad array of well-known private label brands that we’ve created and produced, we’re constantly in pursuit of bottled excellence.
How lucky was I to receive this bottle of Time & Tide Pinot Noir out of Monterey, California, a region known for producing some excellent cool-climate Pinots.
Upon pop and pour, the wine was a bit sharp on the nose, but quickly softened up after a couple of minutes. The color was a very nice ruby, purple in the glass. It looked beautiful, and honestly had me expecting something a bit more full-bodied. At first sip, I could tell this was going to be an everyday drinker; super light and refreshing, exactly what you want on a warm California summer day. Notes of berry, cherry, a hint of pepper, and a bit of earthiness to the overall flavor on the palate. Overall a silky feeling on the tongue with a pretty clean finish. I paired the glass with a grilled chicken dinner and it was lovely. I could imagine this going just as well with a pork chop or a lighter fish dish, given how approachable this wine is.
Day 2, the wine really opened up nicely. Still low-profile, juicy, and smooth, but with a little more robustness. An excellent bottle to uncork mid-week and sip on over the course of a few days. On night two, I paired it with a rewatch of Justin Bieber’s Coachella set, and honestly… it went phenomenally well. Definitely think this is worth a stock up (especially after seeing the price point) for the summer and all your Coachella rewatches too.

89 points. Best Buy. Dark cherry, toasted sage and sumac aromas snap on the nose of this bottling. There’s a leathery spice to the palate, where wood, mushroom and tart cherry flavors arise. — Matt Kettmann 11/1/25
…as was Mr Suckling, looks to be an 89 pointer as well:
This medium-bodied red has aromas of mushrooms, cranberries and toast. Lightly spicy and smoky on the palate, with soft tannins and a straightforward finish. Drink now. Screw cap. 6/25
