Many years ago, when Amazon’s Kindle was in its early days, I found myself curious about the process of self-publishing an e-book. However, I didn’t have anything to publish. Except, that is, for a handful of lousy, depressing “poems” (and it’s a stretch to call them poetry, even in quotes) that I had written when I was in college, and apparently quite bored. So, I collected them up, made an e-book of sorts, and entered the world of (self) published author. I tried to be sufficiently discouraging with both the title and the description so that no one would accidently rip themselves off by buying it with the hope they might enjoy it, and it seems to have worked. As far as I know, I’ve never sold a copy, and hopefully never will.
